HAMBURGER HELPER PROJECT -
We need your support now more then ever! Jenny Thines has submitted to Hamburger Helper a project request to be sponsored through their program Hometown Helper. We are looking to purchase elevated bleachers for the big rink, but we have had other expenses as Jenny has noted in the project page that has prevented us from purchasing bleachers.
Here is what we need from you:
Please visit My Hometown Helper - Lima Police Department Exchange Club Roller Hockey page and leave comments in support of the league and the project that we are undertaking.
If you took advantage of the early registration that was offered last season, then you are registered. If you are not sure, please use the contact form located under the contact page.

| Lima Exchange Club Donation |

The Lima Police Department Exchange Club Roller Hockey League is backed each year by both the Lima Police Department and Lima Exchange Club. On Saturday July 21st 2007 the Lima Exchange Club presented the league with a donation totaling $4,000. It is through their continued support and that of all the volunteers that help not only through out the season but through out the entire year that we are able to provide this league. We would like to thank the Lima Exchange Club for their donation and continued support of our program through out the years.
UPDATE:
The Lima Exchange Club presented the league with another donation in the amount of $2,500 on September 10th. This donation was made possible through The Healing Field that the Exchange Club setup at the Ottawa Metro Park in June. The Lima Exchange Club has donated $6,500 to the league this year! We again would like to extend our sincerest thanks for their continued support over the years.
The donation that was received today is another reminder that this program is a 100% volunteer effort. From the coaches to the league board everyone is a volunteer. We encourage you to become involved with the league. If you have any ideas we would like to hear them, if you don't know what it is you want to help with we can find a spot for you. This is a great organization to not only give your time to as an individual but also as a family. If you would like to volunteer please e-mail Bob Green rdgreen419@hotmail.com |

In case you missed the article in The Lima News or Online at The Lima News Online, Heather Rutz a reporter with the paper has done a feature on Larry Thines.

Just for the record Larry, I don't like skating laps. They do how ever pay off for you in the end, so listen to your coach and do as he says and not as he does.(Hey Division C Redwings, that means you!) |
